I need help finding US medical schools that do not require baccalaureate degrees.
There are many schools that only require the minimum requirements established by the LCME, which are 90 semester hours of college, completion of the prereqs and the MCAT exam. The only source I know that details this information is the Association of American Medical Colleges’ book, "Medical School Admission Requirements", which details the requirements for each medical school. You can probably find a copy in a library near you or you can order it online from the AAMC.
There aren’t any! No respectable medical school admits people for study to be a doctor without evidence of potential to succeed in the program – that evidence is provided by bachelor’s degree studies and the recommendations in an applicant’s packet.
If you do find a school that claims it will admit people without a bachelor’s degree, it’s probably a scam, for-profit program, and/or place from which a degree means zero in the real world and no one would hire their graduates.
Go for your bachelor’s degree and then start looking for good medical schools – you’ll come out much better in the long run! Good luck!
